Hosting is located outside the European Union. Vercel Inc. does not declare a separate European entity in its privacy policy. The point is worth knowing for a reader of this site, several of whose articles deal precisely with sovereignty and where processing takes place.

What is measured about visits

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics. Saying « this site collects nothing » would be false, and this page will not claim better than what the tool actually does. Here is what it does, from its documentation as read on 6 September 2026.

  • No cookie is set, first-party or third-party.
  • A visitor is identified by a hash computed from the incoming request. That hash is not kept: the session is discarded after 24 hours.
  • Recorded per page view: timestamp, page address, referrer, filtered URL parameters, country and region, operating system and browser, device type.
  • No identifier allowing a person to be followed from one site to another is collected, and nothing is tied to a retained IP address.

These measurements serve one purpose: knowing which pages are read. They do not drive the choice of topics, and they are not published — including on the Measurements (in French) page, which speaks only of the corpus.

Two features keep a local marker in your browser's storage: progress through the reading paths (in French) and through the course lessons (in French). Those markers never leave your device: they are not transmitted, not read by the site, not associated with anything. Clearing the site's data erases them, with no consequence other than starting from an empty progress state.

No account exists on this site. No form collects data. There is therefore no sign-up, no newsletter, no profile.

Your rights

Since audience data is anonymous and discarded within 24 hours, there is no file that could identify you, and therefore nothing about you to access, correct or delete. For any question, the contact address on the About page remains open.

Content and reuse

The texts on this site are published by their author. Quotations, code excerpts and references belong to their respective authors and are marked as such in each article's sources. Reuse is welcome provided the original page is cited.

Content is produced with the help of language models, and the site says so everywhere rather than hiding it: the Method page describes the production chain, and every article carries the verification level of its statements.
